Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to synthesise the fundamental factors established in extant conceptual reverse logistics frameworks in order to provide a synopsis of these factors to business decision makers who are looking to adopt or improve their firms| reverse logistics functions. This research analyses academic reverse logistics disposition decision literature from a strategic perspective to identify and expand upon the primary themes developed within the literature. The proposed aggregate framework assimilates relevant strategic framework literature into a concise schema for practitioners to consider when making strategic reverse logistics decisions. This framework emphasises the interdisciplinary and strategic nature of reverse logistics decisions as developed in the literature.
