Abstract: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions can help companies vastly improve their operations via software applications that include modules in financial management and Supply Chain Management (SCM). Detailed discussion of the proper evaluation and implementation phases, which are essential ingredients for the success of deploying a new ERP solution, namely Microsoft Dynamics GP™, for a manufacturing company, were included. The implementation process is the single most important process to determine if a company will take advantage and achieve all of the possible operational benefits by implementing a new ERP solution, as project management and executive buy-in play a major role. As found in the case study, there were significantly positive consequences felt by all stakeholders of the company associated with open communications and the need to modernise to remain competitive.
