Abstract: Knowledge management is a strategy to support enhanced decision-making through effective control of organisational knowledge. This paper presents an investigation into the governance of strategies to manage knowledge and the relationship between such strategies and organisational structures in a global food manufacturing organisation. It finds that formalised governance of the knowledge management programme of activities supports the ability of the organisation to effectively and sustainably establish a strategy to transfer and share knowledge.
