Abstract: In today|s economic climate, organisations are under pressure to speed up time-to-market and reduce costs. So, a resource sharing paradigm like Grid is clearly required. Grid computing allows to linking of all available computer resources to solve large problems more quickly. However, in order to encourage more companies to adopt Grid computing the value chain and business models have to be understood. This paper makes a move in this direction. It analyses existing business models and also discusses how the key industry players have engaged in the research and development of grid enabled business to help the enterprise to gain quality business intelligence in quick time.
