Abstract: Studies have shown a direct and significant relationship between the level of employees| trust toward management and desirable outcomes (e.g., organisational effectiveness, continuous and collaborative improvement, organisational citizenship behaviours, and favourable leader-member exchange). This study translated the Thompson Trust Scale into Spanish and validated it for use in Mexico. This scale assesses employees| trust toward their supervisor and their organisation. The Spanish version was shown to have linguistic and empirical validity and is useful in assessing employee trust level. The implications of using the Spanish version of this scale for research in Mexico are discussed and directions for future research identified.
