Abstract: In spite of tremendous popularity in a variety of application fields, it is shown that the IEEE802.15.4 (LR-WPAN), which has limited resources, is more vulnerable to effects of several interferences operating on the same frequency bands. In this paper, we propose Multi-frame Beacon Management (MBM) MAC protocol for constructing interference-avoided LR-WPAN. By maintaining multi-frames on different channels dynamically, a coordinator and devices can cope well with several interference environments, during the steady state as well as association stage. The experimental results show that the MBM-MAC can improve interference avoidance ability without deterioration of energy consumption and delay.
