Abstract: Continuing engineering education (CEE) in defence plants is generally performed at site locations, often some distance from a college|s main campus. Difficulties created by this environment are discussed in the context of the University of New Haven|s experience in Connecticut. Faculty and student support must come in unique ways, and be delivered within an institutional mission which specifically includes continuing education. The University|s programs have succeeded, and provide a model for such operations.
