Abstract: In recent years, increasing attention has been given to economic analyses of a variety of aspects of climate change. By discussing the consequences of climate change, damage estimates for a doubling of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration, and strategies for responding to climate change, this paper attempts to keep audiences both within and outside the economics profession informed of the ongoing debate on global warming.
