Abstract: The objective of this paper is to develop rural public transport routes in Bantul by evaluating existing routes as a basis to extend new routes. The development of the proposed routes is based on the level of each route|s accessibility which is now considered not optimum. Results of the study showed that the proposed rural public transport routes could increase the level of accessibility as well as the load factors. This means that the proposed rural public transport could attract more passengers and the service areas are much larger.
