Title: The influence of residents' perceptions on pro-tourism behaviour: moderated moderation role of residency length and age

Abstract: Participating in and promoting tourism practices by encouraging sustainable activities represented in the local's pro-tourism behaviours (PTB) is an engine that influences environmentally sustainable tourism behaviours. Therefore, the current study investigates the influence of environmental impacts compared to destination accessibility and attractiveness DAT on pro-tourism behaviours (PTB) directly and indirectly through destination image DI (value for money and infrastructure). It also examines the moderated moderation effect of the residency length and resident's age in the relationships between DI and PTBs. A survey approach was adopted and applied to compare two cities: Alexandria (Egypt) and Albaha (Saudi Arabia). A total of 351 and 200 questionnaires were collected, respectively. The relationship between the environmental impacts and pro-tourism behaviour along with most of the relationships between constructs proved to be direct in both cities, though contradicting results in some indirect relationships were revealed between the two cities. The current study showed that residency length and age play moderated moderation roles in only the relationship between value for money and pro-tourism in Alexandria City.
