Abstract: Solar energy harvesting utilises photovoltaic (PV) systems to capture and convert sunlight into electrical energy. By integrating sensing technologies, these systems can enhance efficiency and performance through real-time monitoring and adaptive management. Advanced sensors measure environmental variables such as solar irradiance, temperature, and system health, providing crucial data for optimising energy capture and minimising losses. This synergy between solar harvesting and spectrum sensing enables dynamic adjustments to align with changing conditions, improving overall energy output and reliability. The integration of sensing technologies in solar energy systems represents a significant advancement in maximising renewable energy utilisation and fostering sustainable energy practices.
