Abstract: The business domain involves more than just hiring and integrating human resources. Employee engagement and adaptability are crucial for corporate organisations. Before implementing changes, change agents must gauge employee readiness. This study explored how employee engagement (EE), organisational commitment (OC), and readiness to change (ERTC) interrelate in the Indian pharmaceutical sector. Subsequently the link between EE and OC was investigated, with an emphasis on the mediator role of ERTC. PLS-SEM was used to evaluate the theoretical research framework and Purposive sampling was used to acquire survey data from 264 personnel of the ingenuous pharmaceutical industry in the Delhi-NCR region. Findings revealed a strong positive link between ERTC, EE, and OC. ERTC was also found to partially mediate the relationship between EE and OC, highlighting HR's impact on these factors and fostering positive employee attitudes and commitment. This study holds implications for pharmaceutical firms, HR departments, and employees alike, enriching research on employee readiness to change, engagement, and dedication towards organisation.
