Abstract: Although there are many FHRAI hotels and restaurants in West Bengal, India, employee retention (ER) is now a significant concern in these organisations, because of the low possibility for employee growth and ineffective hierarchy-level communication. Therefore, this study delves into human resource management practices (HRMP) and employee retention (ER) linkages within West Bengal's FHRAI hotels and restaurants. Drawing upon an extensive review of pertinent literature and integrating the social-exchange and resource-based theories, this paper presents a theoretical framework. The results of the structural model showed that HRMP considerably and favourably influenced ER through commitment to the organisation (OC), level of workplace engagement (WENG), and job satisfaction (JS), motivating employees to remain in these organisations. The primary focus of this study was limited to the hotel industry. In order to enhance the applicability and broader relevance of this research, it is recommended that future scholars explore various other industries as well. This is the first study to provide a comprehensive plan for ER in West Bengal's FHRAI group.
