Abstract: In this paper, we derive the performance of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) with adaptive transmit power (ATP) and energy harvesting from a water flow. The harvested power from a water flow depends on the power of three of water velocity that has a Gaussian distribution. We consider cognitive radio networks (CRN) where the secondary source (SS) harvests power from a water flow to send packets to the secondary destination (SD). Transmission is made with ATP to minimise the interference at the primary destination (PD). Our analysis takes into account the interference at primary and secondary nodes. We select the harvesting time to maximise the throughput.
