Abstract: Over the past two decades, issues such as environmental degradation, growth of anti-globalisation sentiments, and demand for innovation and creativity in public and private sectors have emerged as prominent global organisational problems. These developments have led to a growing interest in the concept of sustainability, which many human resource management researchers believe can enhance HRM capabilities and activities, leading to better organisational performance and competitive advantage. Given the huge impact of information technology on HRM, identification of factors affecting the implementation of sustainable electronic human resource management in organisations can result in significant cost reduction and more principled organisational decision making. The present study aimed to identify and evaluate the factors affecting the implementation of sustainable EHRM in public organisations using type-2 fuzzy FMEA. After reviewing the research literature and surveying experts, 29 factors in the three dimensions of social, environmental, and economic were identified. After designing and distributing the questionnaire among experts, type-2 fuzzy AHP was used to determine the weight of risk factors of FMEA. The identified factors were then ranked using type-2 fuzzy TOPSIS. The results showed that the social dimension is the most important dimension for the implementation of sustainable EHRM in the study area.
