Abstract: A survey of 104 respondents from 40 plus industries and involvement of experts lead to identify circular economy barriers (CEBs) to manufacturing organisations and fulfil other research objectives, resembling contextual interrelationship identification among identified CEBs by ISM, depict hierarchical model framework and validate the results through the application of fuzzy TISM and fuzzy MICMAC analysis. Most crucial CEBs are identified and modelled to assist top management. The developed hierarchical model and cluster performance signifies tactical CEBs with high driving power and performance-oriented CEBs with low driving power. Derived results flourish lack of management commitment and support, hindrances for implementing environmental policy and spin-off impact of globalisation as the most crucial CEBs whereas lack of innovativeness towards CE is performance-oriented CEB. Driving CEBs need the utmost top management focus at the primary stage whereas practitioners and researchers can resolve upcoming issues in the path of CE implementation.
