Abstract: Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and the rapid advancement of technology, the number of mobile device users in Bangladesh has increased dramatically which has necessitated its integration in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs). This study, therefore, explored students' perception towards mobile learning adoption and usage among university students in Bangladesh. A survey questionnaire was distributed and answered by 169 students from two universities in Bangladesh. The findings of this study suggested that students were positive and willing to use mobile devices for learning purposes. Besides, motivational factors were identified that encourage students towards ways of using mobile devices in their learning. This study, additionally, showed, how students' characteristics had influence on their perception towards mobile learning. The findings have impact on teaching and learning practices (how mobile devices could be used in teaching and learning) and formulating policies for incorporating mobile learning in HEIs particularly of Bangladesh and developing countries in general.
