Abstract: This empirical research begins with the identification of strategic drivers based on extensive review and analysis of the supply chain management (SCM) articles. An empirical survey and analysis is done on the primary data collected from industry professionals using statistical tools to identify the key strategic drivers, which will help to create higher business value. The aim of this research article is three-pronged - first identifying the key strategic drivers from literature review; secondly conduct an empirical survey on identified drivers; finally, using rank analysis to classify into a priority hierarchy of vital, essential and desirable for adoption in the battery industry. This study helps decision makers optimise time, energy and resources to formulate relevant SCM strategy with the identified critical success factors towards successful SCM. This paper makes adequate preparation for future research to decide the right set of strategic drivers in SCM for academicians and researchers.
