Abstract: Information and communication technology (ICT) and people management (PM) are critical to achieving organisational strategic objectives. At the Brazilian Ministry of Economy, the Secretariat of Coordination and Governance of State-owned Enterprises (SEST), has an ICT Governance Team in the General Coordination of State Information Management (CGINF), which is responsible for the support and maintenance of ICT services to improve the performance of the state as a shareholder of federal state-owned enterprises. This paper presents the mapping of work processes and job structure of the CGINF team, to provide an efficient and effective set of processes and sub-processes to support people management in this work environment. Although the processes have been validated in the specific context of the federal government, they are conceived to be applied in the governance of any state-owned enterprise and even in non-governmental organisations and private companies.
