Abstract: Interior architecture plays a significant role in the implementation of the concept of sustainability as a solution for environmental problems caused by the construction sector. The reuse of existing building stock also appears to be an important sector activity. Interior architect's field of action generally concerns existing buildings and makes valuable contribution to the implementation of sustainability by taking sustainable design decisions during the renovation of these spaces. The intended lifespan of the interior is one of the determinant parameters in the decision of sustainable design strategy for interior architects. The question 'How long a space will be used? ' will affect all the decisions related to energy and water systems, materials and construction techniques. In this context, the aim of this study is to evaluate sustainable design strategies that can be applied in temporary, flexible and long-term projects classified as intended lifespan of interiors.
