Abstract: Sustainability is a comprehensive approach in the management of the organisation. The adoption of social responsibility and good governance as the underlying philosophy of business can lead to sustainable growth. Sustainability evolves through the transformation of the organisation by the creation of long-term value through innovation in response to the challenges encountered that impact the economic, social and environmental setting. The integrative nature of sustainability with corporate social responsibility (CSR), Environmental care and good Governance ensures safeguarding the triple bottom line that leads to sustainable growth as a natural course. This study illustrates how social responsibility, care for the environment and energy conservation emanate from good governance and innovation and how they form integral parts of the growth agenda at CIAL in its pursuit of sustainability.
