Abstract: In this work, the 15% ethanol blended with gasoline 85% micro-emulsions, and CNG were computationally investigated on one-dimensional simulation software AVL Boost for predicting the emission and performance of the single cylinder spark ignition engine. The engine properties taken for the single cylinder spark ignition engine are the same engine that is present in the lab as the constant speed single cylinder based generator. The water based emulsion fuel, which is prepared in the lab taking its composition as gasoline 85%, ethanol 15%, and H2O 5%, and the same composition was used in the AVL Boost Software. Finally, CNG was also used to check its emissions and performance on the same software and then was compared with the micro-emulsion and ethanol blended gasoline. This study explains how the three types of fuel performed on the same engine and predicted its performance and emission formation comparatively.
