Abstract: The literature on CSR and its outcomes mostly focused on the customer and financial gains while the employee outcomes received little attention. Based on this literature gap and drawing on the employee engagement theory, trust theory, and corporate reputational approach, the study investigates the effects of perceived CSR activities on employee engagement and trust-in-organisation. Additionally, the trust-in-organisation is also tested as a mediator. Data were collected from two private banks in the Sultanate of Oman. The survey was addressed to the branch level staff and a total of 145 usable questionnaires were collected. Structural equation modelling (Smart-PLS 3) was utilised for data analysis. Findings reveal that perceived CSR dimensions (overall, people and planet) positively influencing employee engagement and trust-in-organisation. Additionally, the trust-in-organisation partially mediates the relationship between perceived CSR dimensions and employee engagement.
