Abstract: The note introduces a model and the conceptual proof of a software implementation that aims at assisting the monitoring, detection, and spatial framing of radioactive material, either illicitly handled or inadvertently lost from account. In the rapidly proliferating plethora of solutions and contraptions claiming to fight terrorism by intellectual geniality this should be seen as just another, if perhaps interesting, approach, that some would undoubtedly see fit in the Science Amusements land.

Keywords: radioactive material; monitoring; modelling; vulnerability; antiterrorism; critical infrastructures.
