Abstract: Using a sample of firms drawn from five published databases, this study examines the extent to which quality management practices are adopted, quality management tools employed, and impediments to implementation of quality improvement processes in logistics services of manufacturing and logistics firms. Overall, the results indicate that many of the surveyed companies have successfully implemented quality programs in logistics functions. However, for further improvement in their implementation of quality programs managers should focus on integrating quality programs with corporate strategy, developing closer links with suppliers, and acquiring quality management skills through training and education.
