Abstract: The evolution of work modalities has been significant over the past century and hybrid work has emerged as a pivotal model in recent years. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the development, current state, and future trajectories of hybrid work practices through a systematic bibliometric analysis. The findings reveal the dynamic nature of hybrid work, influenced by technological advancements, organisational shifts, and socioeconomic factors. This study highlights the most prolific institutions and countries that contribute to this field and maps the collaborative networks that have shaped hybrid research. Furthermore, this study discusses potential future directions and areas that require further investigation, offering valuable insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers aiming to navigate and influence the future of their work.
