Abstract: This article undertakes a bibliometric analysis of supply chain resilience, keeping the automotive industry at the centre of the focus, examining research trends, identifying gaps, and suggesting future paths. The bibliometric analysis underlines significant supply chain alterations caused by globalisation and technological improvements, which have enhanced efficiency and increased risk exposure. This study summarises 487 high-quality, ABDC-ranked journal articles. This article highlights that, despite the significant size and importance of the automobile industry, there is a scarcity of empirical research specific to this sector, particularly in developing countries like India. Therefore, it underscores the need for more industry-specific resilience research with greater involvement of practitioners. In addition to these core SC variables, the paper also identifies six NextGen catalytic supply chain resilience capabilities. Future research should focus on integrating the core and NextGen capabilities to enhance resilience and sustainability in the Indian automotive supply chain.
