Abstract: In-depth analysis of uncertainty factors and spatial shifts was made in this study. It combined different geographic data types using digital twin technology and geographic information system (GIS) to create a spatial database for simulating rural water and soil environments. By extensively investigating the affecting aspects, the goal was to improve the accuracy and reliability of rural water and soil environment simulations. The soil and water assessment tool (SWAT) model was explicitly used to characterise changes in soil moisture and hydrological processes. The biological processes of transpiration, photosynthesis, and vegetation development were taken into consideration in the a model for agroforestry systems (AGROFOREST). Climate change was simulated by the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model. It was found that various rural activities had obvious effects on the soil erosion rate. In this paper, an accurate simulation of rural soil and water conditions was created by combining GIS and digital twin technology.
