Abstract: A mass of data generated by the widespread intelligent devices is transmitted through wireless communications in the internet-of-everything (IoE) platform. Most IoE applications require timely delivery of collected data, which is a key challenge because the data freshness influences the system performance. In this study, a novel communication resource allocation algorithm is proposed for age of information (AoI) aware IoE application services. By considering multiple criteria for data transmission, we adopt the ideas of the VIKOR method and cooperative game theory, and develop a new multi-criteria compromise solution (MCCS) to get a fair-efficient solution. Through the sequential interactions of intelligent IoE devices and their corresponding base station, our multi-criteria decision making method can explore the inter-relationship of different criteria to optimise the resource allocation process. Therefore, IoE devices jointly obtain cooperation benefits and achieve a mutually desirable solution for the information timeliness.
