Abstract: This research examined the impact of electronic aptitude and the current competency level of secondary school teachers in the Omusati region of Namibia. Data on classroom technology use and educators' computer literacy levels were collected from 30 educators in three secondary schools and analysed using descriptive statistics. Results showed that spreadsheets and multimedia were used less frequently, while word processing and email were two commonly used tools. Most schools have access to computers and digital resources, but it is difficult to integrate technology into teaching methods due to infrastructure limitations, technical problems and lack of knowledge. Furthermore, research shows that there is no statistically strong connection between faculty computer skills (CS) and their use in the classroom. It was found that training initiatives are needed to advance faculty digital competence and IT knowledge and stimulate the use of technology in the lecture room to promote readers' digital skills.
