Abstract: The software development life cycle requires requirements engineering (RE) to gather, evaluate, and validate software requirements. Communication is crucial throughout the requirements phase to comprehend and express the issue. Understanding customer behaviour affects market dynamics in many businesses. Client retention requires technology-driven marketing efforts like digital, internet, electronic, and viral marketing. Organisation-to-public and organisation-to-customer communication has changed thanks to social media marketing. This study analyses how the voice of consumers and Quality function deployment affect software requirement elicitation, including communication techniques, team personality dynamics, and client involvement. The study collected data quantitatively. According to the study, client engagement grows dramatically as effective communication improves. Developers should choose the right requirements elicitation method, be culturally sensitive, create a respectful and open communication environment, excel in communication skills, and master technical language to solve communication issues. Future studies will analyse how many factors affect software requirement elicitation, and industry partnerships will enable case studies to explore actual issues and solutions.
