Abstract: This paper aims to promote research on Global Virtual Teams (GVTs). We review current GVT research, introduce the X-Culture data set as one potential empirical data set for future research, and summarise relevant future research avenues. These avenues align with the European Journal of International Management's (EJIM) vision of becoming a research platform for GVT-related research.
