Abstract: The development of context-aware applications has been an emergent subject of many research works in ubiquitous computing. This work proposes a new approach called context aware model driven development (COMODE) which advocates model driven development for context-aware application development on service platforms. Through concerns separation in individual models and by transformation techniques, context is provided, modelled and adapted independently from business logic and platform details. Three main issues are addressed in this paper and supported by our approach COMODE: Firstly, a proposition of a context meta-model for user-centred ubiquitous applications. The second issue deals with a parameterised transformation technique which allows weaving the context and the business logic at the model level. Finally, we present our COMODE methodology for the development of context-aware services-based applications. An example service-based application is presented and discussed to illustrate our approach.
