Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to describe our pluralist course |Alternative approaches to the firm|. The first section will discuss the myriad conceptualisations of the firm and contrast this with the staid conception of mainstream economics. The second section will discuss the specifics of the course content. It is hoped that our suggestions will be utilised by other professors interested in teaching a pluralist conception of the firm.

Keywords: economics education; pedagogy; mainstream economics; heterodox economics; pluralism; the firm.
