Abstract: There has been too much dependence on the ability of the top management and this style of leadership has made many organisations fundamentally weak in the face of situations where the company was struggling. The Organisational Mind (OM) is construed as the collective mind of the organisation that works as a homogenous entity. The OM can hold the organisation back for consolidation and make a most effective contribution and response in times of need. This paper highlights the applied aspects of the OM in the context of economic liberalisation in India.

Keywords: organisational mind; paradigm shift; survival; intensity; adaptability; quality.
