Abstract: Methods for the separation of contours in the image area are presented. The contour separation is useful in the segmentation-based tasks. For the real time image and video processing, simple and fast methods are important. In our paper we propose a novel real time capable method for the contour separation which is based on the thresholding and filtering. The results of experiments are included.
