Exploring sustainable development indicators for Taiwan's festival activities

Abstract: The sustainable development of festival activities in Taiwan is currently an important issue. This study first conducted a literature review on governmental policy, motivation of activity and the professional knowledge of executing teams, as well as the perspective of sustainable development. Based on the results, this study summarised the related classified aspects and possible impact factors, then fuzzy Delphi method (FDM) was applied to integrate expert group's opinions and to extract explicit indicators for evaluation. The findings can be used to evaluate the sustainable development of festival activities, and clarify the themes of festival activities.
