Abstract: Nowadays, actual irrigation systems are supposed not perfectly adjusted to real contexts and not supporting farmers to carry out their activities and needs. As solution, information and communication technologies (ICT) are well proposed to minimise resources losses and improve decisions against unforeseen water shortages. We present in this work a precision irrigation application based on wireless and decision support technologies. Our application provides real-time remote control of decisions and optimises allocation of exactly required water quantities (beginning and stopping, interruption and recovery times). The objective of such an application is to facilitate the manipulation of the irrigation process and offer flexible opportunities for better watering scheduling and reserves distribution. Therefore, efficient yield will be raised and better profits in time and money will be achieved. We had developed and deployed the system in a real case study where results are evaluated and well judged as regards the objectives.
