Problems of education in the field of nanotechnology

Abstract: This paper gives a short overview of what one should keep in mind when planning courses in nanotechnology for college or university students. Examples of training courses developed by Russian technical universities with support of the RUSNANO corporation illustrate the diversity of actual topics on the current nanotech landscape in Russia. Optimal balance between hardware acquaintance, theory studies, and social impacts analysis has been shown on historical cases.
