Abstract: The problem of free surface on electrically conducting micropolar fluid contained in a rotating vertical cylinder of radius a with inner porous lining under radial magnetic field is presented numerically. The problem is formulated with Beavers and Joseph slip condition at the porous lining boundary. The dimensionless governing equations are solved by employing a finite difference method. The expression of free surface, velocity profiles and the coefficient of skin friction on cylinder are calculated. The effects of various emerging parameters of the present study on velocity, micro-rotation and skin friction are discussed and depicted through plots.
