Abstract: These brief notes highlight SEMIC, a European Commission initiative to promote the semantic interoperability of interconnected e-government systems, and a new platform from MySociety in the UK. SayIt is an open-source tool to make transcripts easy to read, search and share on the web. This new tool may be useful for journalists, officials in courts, officials in parliaments and other assemblies, researchers, campaigners and activists. In addition, it announces a book publication: e-Governance in Small States.
