Fuzzy-DEA as a diagnostic tool to measure and compare the performance of public and private banks including foreign banks in India

Abstract: Bank performance evaluation is an important study for business goal setting and management. In this paper, an attempt has been made to compare the performance of public and private banks including foreign banks in India. This is done by assessing the productive efficiency of the banks arrived through DEA bringing the non-fuzzy and fuzzy dimensions to the bank variable. The benchmarking is identified and the banks are ranked.
