Abstract: This research is based on a study of four sample villages drawn from two districts of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra State in India and a survey of 650 villagers regarding their financial needs, access to financial institutions, availability of needed finance and its terms and conditions and the possibility of connecting them with a multinational bank through UID-enabled 24-hour door-step banking using micro-ATM and business correspondence model. Though this seems to assure financial inclusion but a host of regulatory limitations impede its scope which this paper attempts to address and answer.
