A risk management approach to international real estate investment

Abstract: This article defines, explains, organises and analyses the major risk and return considerations involved in international real estate investments in a risk management framework. Both risk management and the real estate investment principles are to be applied to accomplish this task. The study focuses on international real estate considerations from the viewpoint of potential investment by an individual or corporation and excludes consideration of utilising international real estate funds. Further, specific examples of how country differences matters are also to be referenced and explained.
