Entrepreneurial orientation, financial literacy and business performance of small and medium enterprises: sensing the research issue

Abstract: The objective of the paper is to explain the impact of entrepreneurial orientation and financial literacy on the business performance. This paper is done with the help of reviewing of literature and derives the research gap for a study. Review of literature on entrepreneurial orientation and financial literature reveal that linier positive relationship exists between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance and between financial literacy and business performance. Therefore, it is significant to investigate the identified relationships among the small and medium enterprises in the Eastern province of Sri Lanka since researches in the area of subjects are lacking among the small and medium enterprises in the Eastern province of Sri Lanka after the prolonged civil war.
