Abstract: Control the vibration of the device with a viscous damper. Firstly, the finite element model of the plant structure is established by using the finite element software ANSYS. Then, the scale model of shaking table test is designed and the shaking table test is carried out on the condition that no control and the viscous damper are installed on the equipment. The self-vibration characteristics of the structure were obtained by experiments, compare the results of the test without control and the results of ANSYS calculation, comparison of test uncontrolled results and results of viscous damper control. The results show that the viscous damper has a good control effect on the vibration of the equipment in the steel structure workshop. Research results can provide reference for vibration control of equipment.
