Abstract: Increasing international competition in the global market demands a significant decrease in product costs and manufacturing lead time, and improvement of product quality. In striving to remain competitive, manufacturing industries must deliver products to customer at the lowest cost with the best quality in minimum lead time. As a result, it has become compulsory to implement an integrated advance manufacturing planning and execution system that supports shorter product cycles with real time monitoring of processes. This paper presents a suitable integrated advance manufacturing planning and execution software system for a batch production aerospace manufacturing industry. The software system receives the customer|s order and performs material requirement planning using software. The software system sends procurement requisitions, release orders, weekly and daily plans, and work orders to the concerned shops. It keeps track of work in process. In case of variation of order, the software system will automatically update the relevant data.
