Abstract: There are many documented methods that teach systematic ways to innovate. However, the methods are not easy to follow. Even applying these techniques needs creativity. As a result, many industries find it difficult to really implement these techniques. The present paper highlights the difficulty in following rules laid down by others and introduces a method to develop rules of innovation based on one|s own experiences. A list of rules developed for getting innovative results, is illustrated with examples.
