Title: Measurement of glucose nanoparticles concentration in plasma and blood accurately using laser sheet interferometry

Abstract: Diabetes is one of the major diseases in Egypt and perhaps all over the world. Diabetic patients suffer from many acute and chronic symptoms and diseases which may lead to blindness, reduced blood circulation in extremities arising ulcers and gangrenes. In this paper, we present a new technique called the laser sheet interference technique developed by the first author, for measuring the optical density of the glucose nanoparticles in human blood. The presented new technique gives accurate measurements of glucose level in comparison with other available glucose meters. Also the obtained results applying this technique proved that: 1) The laser interference technique could be used as a very sensitive tool for measuring constituents of blood and other biological fluids. 2) It may be considered as the basis for designing a laser interference glucometry for medical analysis and diagnosis.
