Abstract: Midwifery involves challenging duties that lead to substantial stress and potential burnout. This research aims to delineate the relationships among job stress, social support, workload, financial satisfaction, and burnout among midwives. A cross-sectional methodology was used to gather data from midwives at various centres, utilising standardised instruments to measure. The study underscores the need to ameliorate job stress and manage workloads effectively to prevent burnout among midwives. Recommended strategies include flexible work schedules to reduce workloads, stronger workplace social support networks, and tailored stress management programs, are essential to mitigate the factors contributing to burnout, thereby enhancing the well-being and professional satisfaction of midwives. This research contributes to the discourse on occupational health within midwifery, emphasising the importance of systemic changes to support the resilience and retention of midwives. By addressing these factors, healthcare organisations can better support midwives, ensuring their sustained well-being and effectiveness in their critical roles.
